Cape Breton University’s first class of healthcare leadership students is underway, with 26 students enrolled in a new graduate program.
Classes began September 9 for the 16-month Master of Healthcare Leadership and Innovation. The province announced the program’s launch Thursday.
The program focuses on managing healthcare teams, using digital tools and responding to challenges in how care is organized and delivered.
Students will complete either a master’s project or an internship during their final semester, with opportunities to work alongside healthcare organizations, policy-makers or research institutes.
Potential career paths include healthcare administration, health services management and telehealth program management.
