This course on the trees of the Wabanaki Forest, taught by Soren Bondrup-Nielsen, is delivered through a process of guided self-discovery. You will, either singly or in pairs and guided by Soren, discover the characteristics of a single or a group of species. The characteristics should include identifying the species, changes the species undergoes as it gets older, the importance of light, and where the species occurs. Taking pictures of the characteristics will be a real asset. Once you have collected the information, you will take the rest of us on a tour and tell us what you discovered. After the course, all the information obtained, including pictures, will be collated electronically and sent to everyone.
