Nova Scotians who received a $10 farmers’ market voucher this year have until December 31 to use it at a participating market. The vouchers were distributed to public-school, home-school and Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey students from pre-primary through Grade 12. Post-secondary students will receive vouchers in the fall. The Ocean Lake Wind Project in Guysborough County has received environmental assessment approval from the Province of Nova Scotia. The proposed development could include as many as 158 turbines and generate approximately 1,264 megawatts of electricity.
