Annapolis Valley Tourism Planning Receives Provincial Support

The Valley Regional Enterprise Network in Kentville has received $25,000 to support tourism planning in the Annapolis Valley.

The organization will use the funding to examine gaps in tourism infrastructure and services. The results are expected to help communities, tourism operators and regional partners identify priorities for future development.

The project is part of nearly $890,000 in provincial funding for seven rural development and innovation initiatives.

Other projects include a pop-up business zone in Westville, a community hub in St. Peter’s and a Western Nova Scotia program connecting employers with skilled international graduates.

Spark Nova Scotia also received a $244,000 innovation grant to operate an early-stage startup competition for rural entrepreneurs.
