Nova Scotia Farmers’ Market Vouchers Remain Valid Through December

Nova Scotians who received a $10 farmers’ market voucher this year have until December 31 to use it at a participating market.

The vouchers were distributed to public-school, home-school and Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey students from pre-primary through Grade 12. Post-secondary students will receive vouchers in the fall.

The Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia and the YMCA’s YREACH program are also distributing vouchers to newcomers throughout the year.

Approximately 215,500 vouchers are being provided through the 2026 Nova Scotia Loyal Farmers’ Market Voucher Program.

Provincial figures show that 29 per cent of redeemed vouchers in 2025 came from people visiting a farmers’ market for the first time. Those visits contributed to more than $787,000 in purchases from local producers.
